Newsletter

Welcome to this the first "Chris Bone" newsletter! I hope that this will be the first of many over the coming months which will keep you informed not only about my work, influences and thoughts, but also of forthcoming events such as exhibitions, art demonstrations, classes and open studios.

2007 was a busy year! In spring I moved from a studio in Church Street, Folkestone to The Old High Street in the heart of the Creative Quarter. The studio is spacious, well lit with a good atmosphere and well placed to take advantage of the increasing opportunities presented by this exciting area of the town.

In May 2007 I had an exhibition at the George House Gallery in the Old High Street, which attracted much interest and positive comment. During the summer I spent a number of weeks in Martock, south Somerset and the Vézelay in Burgundy, France, painting and drawing the landscape and collecting visual information for future work in my studio.

From 3rd March 2008 new works of Folkestone, Somerset and Vézelay, France can be seen at Gallery 49 in the Old High Street, Folkestone, Kent.

This newsletter will hopefully be a conduit through which you can follow my work, thoughts and activities over the year.
